Terms of Service

Alite designs and operates a family of software products — currently Travel Planner, Personal Finance, Split Bill, and others as they ship. Each product is independent, and each can be used on its own.

This site is the front door to that family. Using it, or any Alite product, means these terms apply to you.

An Alite account is optional. Some products can be used without one; where an account is required, a single Alite account works across the ecosystem.

You are responsible for keeping your sign-in details to yourself, and for what happens under your account. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has access to it.

You can stop using Alite at any time, and you can ask us to delete your account and the data attached to it.

Use Alite products for their intended purpose. Do not attempt to break, overload, or gain unauthorised access to any part of them, and do not use them to store or distribute unlawful content.

We may suspend access that puts the service or other people using it at risk. Where we can, we will explain why first.

What you put into an Alite product — trips, transactions, lists, notes — remains yours. We do not claim ownership of it.

We process that content only to provide the product you put it into, and to keep it working and secure. We do not sell it.

Alite products are provided as they are. We work to keep them reliable, but we cannot promise uninterrupted service, and features change as products develop.

Where a change materially affects how you use a product, we will give reasonable notice. Where a product is retired, we will provide a way to take your data with you.

To the extent the law allows, Alite is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the products, including lost data, lost profit, or decisions made on the basis of information shown in a product.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited.

We may update these terms as the products change. The date above always reflects the current version, and material changes will be signalled clearly rather than quietly.
